Grundy National Bank is looking to grow and expand. Their current “National” charter would not allow them to cross state lines so they had one option – change chargers to a “State” bank. To do this required a name change and and all new brand.
Grundy National Bank hired Summit Marketing to handle their rebranding campaign along with all other elements including a brand new website design, new signage across their 6 locations, stationary and other materials. Summit convened multiple focus groups to help decide on a name and Legacy Bank was ultimately chosen. Then comes the fun part.
DEVELOPING A STRONG CORPORATE IDENTITY
To develop a strong brand identity, we conducted months of market research to help position Legacy Bank as a modern and up-to-date bank. We developed an eagle head badge to represent the bank going forward. We paired it with strong, patriotic colors to appeal to their key demographic in Southwest Virginia. Scroll through the slideshow below to see our thought process while developing this new identity. Once the logomark and logotype were decided upon, we went to work developing brand identity standards so that the bank will avoid past mistakes of logo misuse. This will ensure that the mission and message of Legacy Bank does not become diluted into the future.
CREATING A NEW, MOBILE-FRIENDLY WEBSITE
Legacy Bank’s old website wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. When we got started on designing their new website, we wanted to keep in mind that mobile is the way of the future. Legacy Bank has a mobile banking app, but their website should be equally as easy to use as an app. So we developed a modern, sleek website for them to strengthen their web presence.
