Identity Work
Building brands through storytelling is our business. We aim to create, communicate, and climb our clients to success.
Summit Marketing
As the marketing division of the Summit has been growing and progressing, it was time to revaluate who we are and how we visually represent ourselves. Still being representative to our parent company, we refreshed our visual identity into a strong brand that illustrates the core of Summit Marketing in a greater way.

As the marketing division of the Summit has been growing and progressing, it was time to revaluate who we are and how we visually represent ourselves. Still being representative to our parent company, we refreshed our visual identity into a strong brand that illustrates the core of Summit Marketing in a greater way.
The Request
To set the marketing department apart, we decided to rework our previous branding into a more creative visual identity while still being cohesive and representative of our parent company.
The Process
We started by working with the original Summit icon, making it more cylindrical and perfectly aligning it to the grid. We then brightened up the color palette by using the same original colors in different tonal variations. To differentiate ourselves from the corporate look and feel of the original typography, we chose a clean, rounded sans-serif typeface that exhibits the fun and playful aesthetic we wanted our visual identity to display.
The Outcome
The finished reworked identity design includes various different elements all coming together to display a more clear brand that the team proudly believes represents the marketing department of the Summit Companies well.

Brand Strategy
A brand is much more than its logo. Every company, no matter the size, should have a clear identity and visual language that reflects its goals. Every message and piece of media from as small as the letterhead to as large as a billboard is a representational voice of the company. That is why it is so important that your company’s voice is consistent across every channel and clearly communicates your goals and story.
When creating a new brand, we first start by learning the company’s history, current goals, and aspirations along with any problems the current branding might have introduced. We work hard to develop a logo/identity that will solve these problems and align with the company’s goals and aspirations. Finally, brand guidelines are created in order to help streamline any future usage of the brand and to keep it consistent with every use.

Legacy Bank
We were tasked with creating a completely new brand identity for Grundy National Bank. Challenged with a diluted and inconsistent brand, they were in need of a redesign reflective of consistency and potential. After the name Legacy Bank was chosen, we developed an all-encompassing brand identity which included a logo, color palette, stationery, signage, website, and more. This resulted in a cohesive identity that would propel their Legacy forward.
The Request
Formerly Grundy National Bank, this company was facing a diluted and inconsistent brand. In order to rectify these issues, a complete overall of the brand was necessary.
The Process
When crafting this new identity, we first looked at the history and the impact of the bank within its local area. A name and brand identity that was reflective of heritage, patriotism, and notability, was our goal.
The Outcome
After a great amount of research and iteration, we chose the name Legacy Bank and developed a brand identity that is reflective of their newfound goals. The end result was a brand full of importance, consistency, and growth potential.
